Steps to Excellence for Personal Success (STEPS) is a personal
development programme which has earned a reputation as a powerful
tool for individual and community regeneration.
It gives people an opportunity to take a fresh look at
their lives and see how much they are capable of achieving, together
with the tools to make it happen.
In
just six half-day sessions, the programme is delivered using video-based
learning, group discussion and activities in a relaxed, safe and
fun environment.
STEPS
is accredited through the Open College Network.
Investment
In Excellence (IIE) is a Personal and Organisational Development
Programme and works well when teams from the same organisation
are able to participate.
IIE
is delivered in two phases over a total of five days and engages
individuals professionally and personally, giving a new perspective
to both their jobs and lives.
It
challenges them to re-shape the unproductive habits, attitudes,
beliefs and expectations that adversely affect performance.
This builds strong internal capacity in individuals and
teams to use the tools to confront the key issues they face in
an ongoing and measurable way.
“The
personal growth and organisational impact resulting from participation
in Investment In Excellence signifies the potency of the techniques
transmitted through the programme.
These are as useful to organisational leaders as to people
starting out in their careers. They are as relevant to community and voluntary
organisations as they are to private and public sector agencies. Investment In Excellence taps into the under
used potential of individuals, teams and communities – it is a positive
force for change.”
Joe
Montgomery, Director General, Neighbourhood Renewal Unit
“Investment
In Excellence offers our community and the variety of social groups
and organisations therein a tool kit which allows them to make lasting
changes and use more of their potential.
Such sustainable changes in attitudes, beliefs, expectations
and aspirations are an essential element to local regeneration.”
Damien
Yeates, Chief Executive, Govan Initiative Ltd
Both
STEPS and IIE have been developed by The Pacific Institute
